Deegan Brothers Roofing & Siding

Overall not a great experience. Needed an old slate roof replaced with new shingle roof. They were supposed to come at 8 or 9am but arrived at 5pm! In Sept that leaves about 2 1/2 hrs of daylight. Two guys arrived with no supervisor. They walked around looking at roof and looking confused. Tried to ask me questions but I don't speak Spanish. They then called another guy and handed me the phone but I couldn't understand him either. They Finally started working. It's a low roof so I was watching off n on. After scraping the slate off the old weathered rotten looking plywood which they were supposed to replace, they just dusted it off smoothed it out and started applying new roofing materials without ever replacing the old plywood!! I called the field manager and he called them and then they ripped everything back off and replaced the plywood. I figure they either had no idea what was in my contract or even worse just trying to cut corners to knock out a whole roof in 2 hours. They left without replacing fascia so I called the field supervisor and he got them to come out 2 days later and finish fascia. Later that day I looked closer at the roof and noticed at the connection where it meets house there was no flashing. Just gobs of polyurethane sealant or something all over. Looks awful and I'm sure I will have leaking down the road. Called field manager again. He said that they couldn't install flashing because I had asbestos shakes for siding which probably is true, it's an old house but when I had the main roof and porch roof done by other roofers about 10yrs ago they were able to install flashing and did a professional nice job. Basically I will have to hire someone else to take care of it now. Would not recommend. Hi...I am editing my review a bit. The owners reached out to me and apologized and sent someone out to fix the issue with the flashing. Looks much better now. Thank you !

Simply the BEST!! Hands down the best roofing company in NJ. Had bunch of quotes but no one could beat DB’s price. Their service was even better!! The crew was amazingly fast and experienced. Had my entire roof replaced with new gutters - it took them less than 2 days to get it done! Cleansed up all the debris and secured all the windows etc. Frank & Karen treated us like family. Definitely recommend these folks - save money that comes with outstanding service 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Performed as promised with excellence on two difficult roofs; one flat the other low slope. Deegan set skylights and made new weatherproofing measures to ensure longevity. David and Chris delivered what they promised. While I have similar comments on communications and timing as other reviewers, still change orders were very fair and done expeditiously and cleanup was very good.

I looked at local listings for roofers and came across 4 different companies. We knew that our roof was going to be a big ticket item so we accepted quotes from all 4 companies. Although all of the companies were professional and competitive, Deegan stood out with their personal touch. As a family-owned business, all of the Deegans were professional, answered all of my questions and came in with a fair price. They took the time to explain their product and how they use the same product on their business and personal homes. They finished our roof in one day...I left for work at 7:15AM and came home at 5:00 PM to a beautiful, new, high-quality roof with no evidence of shingles, wood, staples, etc. You can see our photos from beginning to end. I highly recommend Deegan Brothers for their prompt service, professional knowledge and quality workmanship. It was refreshing to work with such a committed, hard working, local business.
