B&E Roofing & Remodeling

B&E did a full roof replacement for us and overall it was a great experience and for a very reasonable price. From the beginning, Naaman took the time to listen to what we wanted and explained what would be done for the job. During the actual job, the crew was fantastic! They were polite, professional, and efficient. They also went above and beyond. For example, at the end of the job, after they finished checking for nails/debris, they took extra time to help me re-hang my many outdoor chimes and set out my front porch decorations. My only suggestion is that if you live in a town/borough that may be outside of their normal serving area, remind them to check about permits/permitting procedures. For example, in the borough where we live this is typically done by the contractors, not the homeowners. On the first day of the job, the work was temporarily halted for a few hours and we ended up having to pay the additional permit fees from the borough. Normally these permits would be filed for and included in the estimate, so as not to be a surprise added cost at the end.

I’m still waiting for a call back regarding the roof installation. There has been an issue with the chimney capping and now, once again, with the drip edge and gutters. Water is backflowing and wetting the wood underlayment. I previously sent an email a few weeks ago, and again tonight, but have not received a response. I believe the drip edges may have been installed improperly. The crew did return once and added some metal capping to cover exposed wood, but the problem persists. This was an expensive job, and it needs to be corrected. I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but at this point I may have no choice if the issues are not addressed. That said, I would be happy to update my review once I receive a call back and the problems are fixed. 10-7-25 Worker repaired large section of drip edge that was installed incorrectly. However, leak in corner was not fix and I suspect movement of gutter broke seam. Leaking more in corner. Also noticed tar shoved into the corner. Remember, this was not a repair call, B&E removed and replaced the entire roof. This is their work on a $22K roof. I sent Amos (owner) a message today. Hopefully his crew comes back and fixes this corner issue which is now sending more water into foundation/basement.

My husband researched and met with five Lancaster roofing companies before choosing B&E. We are 100% happy with our new roof. Their team was expert, quick (but didn't rush), and courteous. We highly recommend B&E for roofing needs.

Watched these guys work at a neighbor's, so called them for a quote. Got a prompt response, visit & quote from Naaman. Josh & crew were polite, didn't talk a lot & were efficient and Josh did a good job of communicating progress. They installed new board, venting, shingles, skylights & porch post. We are having B&E come back to do our bow window.

We had our roof replaced by B&E last October; it was at the end of its life span and was badly damaged after a particularly violent storm. The evaluation and estimate process was very thorough, and the job was completed very quickly and efficiently. We loved their work so much that we later had our windows, siding, and doors replaced by them! We highly recommend them.
